DPAC 2024 Annual Report: Celebrating a Year of Growth and Progress
We are excited to share the Dairy Processors Association of Canada’s (DPAC) 2024 Annual Report, a reflection of a transformative year for the dairy processing sector.
In 2024, DPAC has achieved significant milestones:
- Supporting government efforts to defend Canada’s dairy tariff rate quota allocations in the CUSMA and CPTPP trade challenges.
- Advancing the Grocery Code of Conduct, promoting greater transparency and fairness in the industry.
- Accomplishing DPAC’s historic request of fortifying yogurt and kefir, significantly enhancing their nutritional benefits for Canadians.
- Securing major dairy exemptions under front-of-pack labelling regulations, recognizing the unique nutritional benefits of dairy products.
Looking ahead, we remain committed to tackling key challenges, including addressing misconceptions about ‘Modified Milk Ingredients’ and determining greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets through the Science-Based Targets Initiative project.
